Makita has expanded its range of cordless outdoor power equipment by introducing the 18V X2 (36V) LXT Brushless Cordless 18” Self-Propelled Lawn Mower (XML06Z). This new addition offers a solution for efficient grass cutting with zero emissions, lower noise levels, and reduced maintenance requirements. The mower is powered by two 18V LXT batteries, which are sold separately. The innovative 4-bay battery system allows for the use of four batteries, doubling the run time without the need to switch to a different battery platform.

Equipped with a Makita-built motor capable of delivering up to 3,300 RPM, this lawn mower also features a Quiet Mode setting that reduces noise by maintaining a constant speed of 2,500 RPM. Convenient features such as quick height adjustments, mulching capability, and a commercial-grade steel deck make it easy to use. The mower is also equipped with Makita Extreme Protection Technology (XPT), which includes a protective seal inside the tool to enhance operation in harsh conditions by diverting water and dust away from key internal components.

Part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT System, which is powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries, this mower offers the fastest charge times in its category. To ensure improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita has incorporated Star Protection Computer Controls, a communication technology that allows the tool and battery to exchange real-time data to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. Additionally, the mower can be powered by Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Batteries with the star symbol to indicate the presence of Star Protection technology.

With no gas, emissions, oil mixing, or pull starts required, along with reduced maintenance and low noise levels, this self-propelled mower offers variable speed control (1.5 MPH - 3 MPH) for added convenience. The 4-bay battery system provides double the run time, and the option to insert two additional batteries allows for extended use. The commercial-grade steel deck ensures durability and performance, making this lawn mower a versatile and efficient choice for outdoor maintenance.
